Memory Lane...

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember. If we're only blogging friends write about a post that is most memorable.
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you....either on your blog, in my comment box, or I will email you one back.
3. If the memory happens to involve my husband, please include him.
4. If you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all.

My friend did this on her blog and it was fun to think back to fun times we have had together.

The first memory that came to me was when Erin and I would tie your pajamas all together with the sleeves and the legs and then you wouldn't be able to get out, but I guess that falls under #4, so I will have to think of something else. Hmmm...remember when we went to Reno with the wind orchestra in college right before I got married? That was a fun trip getting to hang out with you, besides being roommates during the summer before that year. I really enjoyed being in Wind Orchestra with you my last year of college. And sorry I was so mean to you when we were kids.

The first memory that came to mind was when we lived in the doll house and we would dance to our Grand Canyon music. Remember the theme to Rocky and "Strangers in the Night"? Those were some great times. I'm glad we were able to live with each other.

I remember all of your scrapbooking talent, Max's cool chaco shoes and your kindness in making balenkets for Spencer and sharing your blanket with us at the park. I think it's great we both call our girls Emmy!

Even though I really hadn't "met you" yet, I remember when Max was a little baby and I would comment to Mike every week at church that I thought Max was the cutest baby ever. I have loved the time spent with you-you always make me smile and in a good mood when I usually start out ornery! (Ex: Enrichment Night!)--we need to get together more often--you would be good for my sanity.

Remember in 6th grade when we tied you up in your coat on the playground and pulled you around. Shannan's memory reminded me of that one. I remember it was hillarious. I also remember making yummy nachos at your house!

Oh my goodness, Apreal, I totally forgot about that! Jeff was curious about what I started laughing about so I had to show him your comment. It's a good things most memories are funny when we look back on them, huh?!

I remember when you & your sisters would dance for us when we came to visit. I also remember how impressed I was (and still am) with your talent as a seamstress. Those wedding dresses are really something!

One of my favorite memories of you happened when I was walking home from school one spring day. I ran into you in the parking lot of your apartment complex. We talked about how you would soon be going down the Grand Canyon with your family, and that you would also be moving away from Logan. After talking with you I felt a little sad. I had wanted to ask you on a date, but with the impending move I thought the chance had passed me by. I'm glad you did not move away for long.

Remember when we were on the Grand Canyon in 2001 and Brian took us in that big hole in Dubendorf sideways and we almost flipped? That was scary! Good thing you were there so Brian didn't get in too much trouble - or did I still let him have it, I can't remember. And you can't forget the family trip down Deso with our synchronized floating and our mud sinking contest. I guess most of my memories involve river trips. I must be my mother's child!

I was just thinking about when we lived in the house with the circle driveway and we would play school during the summer, and when we put together that play of 'Sleeping Beauty'. Looking back on it, we must have really liked school if we pretended to be in school during the summer. Especially since you gave me and Lauren homework assignments and actually graded them! Ah, those were good times.

Okay so I'm a little late on this one, but I have so many to choose from that I don't know where to start, Apreal stole my Nacho one, but remember playing pretend on your swingset in the OLD house? How about when we would sing newsies in the basement and try to get Seth the mute to join in. Also, sitting in the nursing room of the church...what did we do in there??? Love ya ADE!
